Welcome! In this study we explore the difference between trying to control our lives and trusting God's direction.
Together we will:
• Identify areas where we cling to control
• Understand how fear and anxiety drive our need for control
• Learn how surrender opens the door to God’s guidance
• Discover the peace that comes from trusting God's plan
Our goal is to shift from self-reliance to God-reliance.

Galatians 5:23 reminds us that self-control is fruit of the Spirit. God calls us to manage our own responses, attitudes, and choices rather than trying to control others.

Daily Surrender Affirmations
Daily Affirmations:
· I trust God more than my own understanding.
· I release the need to control outcomes.
· God’s direction is better than my plans.
· I am safe in God’s will.
· I choose obedience over anxiety.
· I don’t need all the answers to follow God.
· God is ordering my steps.
· I surrender what I cannot control.
· I rest in God’s timing.
· My peace comes from trust, not control
Scripture-Based Affirmations:
· The Lord will fight for me; I need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14)
· I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)

7-Day Surrender Challenge
For the next seven days, choose one area of your life to consciously surrender to God each day. At the end of each day, journal your experience using the prompt below.
Daily Journal Prompt:

· What did you learn about God’s faithfulness and provision?
Prayer Prompts
Use these prayers as a starting point for your conversations with God.
Prayer for Surrender:
Lord, I surrender my need for control to you. I trust that you have a better plan for my life than I could ever imagine. Help me to release my fears and embrace your guidance. Amen.
Prayer for Peace:
God, my heart is filled with anxiety. Fill me with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help me to rest in your loving arms, knowing that you are in control. Amen.
Prayer for Guidance:
Heavenly Father, I need your direction. Show me the path you want me to take. Give me the courage to follow your lead, even when it doesn't make sense to me. Amen.
Prayer for Faith:
Lord, increase my faith. Help me to trust you more deeply, even in the midst of uncertainty. Remind me of your faithfulness in the past, and give me hope for the future. Amen.
Prayer for Strength:
God, I am weak and weary. Strengthen me with your power. Help me to persevere through challenges and to rely on your unfailing love. Amen.
